Final XC race of the season this Sunday (11th Dec)

It’s the final XC race of the season this Sunday at Graves Park in Sheffield.

The usual drill applies, but note that people must have been crowding the finish line at past events, because they have put out a plea for people not to do that.

Note that the men start first this time, at 11am! That should mean we’ll finish sooner though as the women also start earlier at 11:45, so we could be all done by 12:30 (the usual men’s start time).

Hopefully a few of us will aim to get there for 9:30am ish to get set up ahead of the rabble.

All the details can be found here

There’s all the usual info on our own page here

Xmas Run Thursday 15th Dec

HO,HO,HO!

It’s time to don those Xmas jumpers and join us on a very social Xmas run on Thursday 15th Dec, 18:30 at the Sun Inn on York Road.

There’s an event in the Facebook group, so if you’re on there can you let us know if you’re joining the festivities (if not just speak to one of the committee and let them know). It would be fab to see you all shaking those baubles down York Road!

This week’s sessions (w/c 28th Nov)

Hi all, forms for next week are up. Please put your name down if you’re coming!

On Tuesday we’ve decided to do a social run instead of intervals. There will be two groups to choose from, both easy paced (one easier than the other 😄).

You’ll need a headtorch! (If you don’t have one, please ask and we will try and arrange a loan for you – although they are a worthwhile investment and recommended for most runs over winter.)

The route will be flat and mostly tarmac, but there’s a small section through woods. The route is around 6.5 miles, with options to cut short – which will almost halve the distance.

We normally stop for a drink on Thursday nights, but will also head into Icebreakers on Tuesday after the run for a change, too.

Thursday’s route is R10 (Hare and Hounds route) and is just under 6 miles.

Have a great weekend, hope to see some of you on Sunday at Donny 10K (or at Whitby’s for some 🐟 and 🍟 soon afterwards – or at the Wool Market in town from around 12:30 onwards).

Good luck to everyone who’s racing!
