This week’s sessions (w/c 19th Sept)

Hi everyone, forms are up – please ensure that you’re booking onto these before you come down to save us some time.

Tuesday’s social run will be with Amanda and will consist of a 5.5 mile run, with a cut short available at 4 or so miles. It will leave the Dome, head into town and then back through town fields, towards the racecourse and back to the Dome.

The interval session will be with Nick and is a taster for what’s to come for the following 10 weeks on the lead up to Doncaster 10K. This is a good opportunity to have some structured,
focused training, to help you achieve a PB at Doncaster 10K (or just generally improve in other distances too.)

Thursday’s route is R2, which is just over 7 miles.

Club Kit Shop Open!

It’s time to get ready for cross country and the cooler months ahead!

The club shop is now open for T-shirts and hoodies

Please note:

  • The shop is open until 16th September 2022, after that date all orders will be sent into production.
  • There will be an approximate lead time of 4-6 weeks for delivery.
  • T-shirts – the sizing are smaller than expected, so please ask me if you’re wanting to order, there is a size guiding on the website but I’d generally go one size bigger than you think.
  • Hoodies – we have samples of the hoodies at the hub if you’d like to try for sizing before placing your order.
  • Vests – We hold a stock of club vests at the hub (£25)

If you’re after a new vest or wanting to try the hoodies for size before ordering – please message or speak to Julie or Jim on a club night.

Afternoon all, forms for next week are up!

We’re going to risk another week in the woods!

Tuesday will have a social led from the Cycle Hub with Mick. The interval session is 6 * 800m (half mile) in the woods, meeting at Sandall Beat Car Park at 6:35pm.

Thursday’s route is M5 (avoiding the racecourse – be aware that the Leger is on and you may need to set off early), which is ~6.6 miles.

This week’s sessions (w/c 29th Aug)

Afternoon all. Forms are up!

For Tuesday:

1: The Social will be led by Amanda, around 5.5 – 6 miles. It will be mainly tarmac, with a bit of trail (no woods) and will leave from the Hub as usual.

2: The interval session will be WO1 from the training library (90 seconds on off 90 seconds recovery – see the new download link on that page with the Garmin workout file) with Scully and Jo Derx and will be in the woods. Meet at Sandall Beat Car Park at 6:30ish for that, NOT the Hub!

For Thursday, we will be trying a new route. It could be the last off-road run of the season, so you should try and make it if possible (plus feedback on the route would be welcome and help us decide whether or not we incorporate it into the rota for next year):
