Wheatley Hills Away Run (Thursday 29th June)

Scully, Mark Hudson and David Langford will be leading three groups at an away run from Wheatley Hills Rugby Club on Thursday 29th June.

Groups 1 and 2 will run on a trail route of around 6 miles. Group 3 will be a mixture of trail and road and be around 4 miles. Pace to suit the groups.

Please be there for 6:30pm.

Chip butties are £3 each and are payable on the evening – but if you would like one, please let one of them know. Orders must be in no later than PM on Tuesday 27th.

Wheatley Hills Rugby Club is on Brunel Road, DN5 8PT. Brunel Road and the rugby club are behind the Range on York Road, next to Furniture Factors. There is parking available at the club itself and on the adjoining roads.

As always on these away runs, club colours please!

This week’s sessions (w/c 19th June)

Hi all, forms for this week are now available. Please remember to put your name down if you’re coming.

A reminder that we’re at Dam Flask on Tuesday. There WILL be two sessions on this week for those not doing that and they are:

1. Social run with David L.

2. Cenotaph hill reps with Jenny

For those doing Dam Flask, please try and get there early and please wherever possible car share – parking is a nightmare, the fewer cars we can take between us the better.

Would recommend taking a bit of dinner in a lunch box, some sun cream (let’s hope) and some insect repellent!

Thursday’s route will be M6. It’s just under 7 miles and there are two or three opportunities to cut short if you need to.

See you in the week!

This week’s sessions (w/c 12th June)

Morning everyone, forms for this coming week are up!

Please remember to book if you’re coming. If you’re having difficulty logging into the website or otherwise booking on yourself, please let us know – there are still people who we’re regularly having to add each club meet and it would be better if we didn’t have to spend time doing that.

Tuesday:

Jenny will be taking a social run.

The interval set will be back at the Rail College, the session will form part of Jim’s coaching assessment and it’s easier to manage from there than at other venues. It’ll be repeats of the perimeter.

Thursday’s route is M5.

See you in the week!

This week’s sessions (w/c 5th June)

Hi everyone, booking forms for next week are up!

Tuesday we’ll do relays on pit top. There’s an option to meet us there vs jogging down (it’s around a 2 mile jog each way to and from the Hub). Instructions for that below.

Social with Mick now an option – likely to use the Hare and Hounds route or be something like it (R10 route, which can be found on the website.)

Thursday’s route is M4.

Tuesday’s instructions:

Meeting point is the 2nd stone bridge if approaching from Reeves Way, 1st Stone Bridge if approaching from Sandall Beat.

Pins for parking:

1. Reeves Way (go through the park to the corner with the flats then follow instructions from below)

2. Pit Top (this brings you to the end of Jenkinson Grove, keep going after you reach this point, turn left and follow the lane around. To get to meeting point, follow the big gravel path)

3. Race Course / Sandall Beat Wood (you will need to find your way through the woods and cross the railway bridge, through another part of the woods to the meeting point)
