โญ HOW THE SCORING WORKS
Weโ€™re keeping the familiar scoring categories, with a new approach to finishing points!

๐Ÿ”น Distance points
โ€ข 5K = 10 points
โ€ข 10K = 15 points
โ€ข Half Marathon = 20 points

๐Ÿ”น Finishing points โ€“ EVERYONE scores!
Inspired by parkrun, every Danum Harrier who takes part earns finishing points based on their position in the club field.
For example, if 60 Harriers compete:
๐Ÿฅ‡ 1st Danum finisher = 60 points
๐Ÿฅˆ 2nd = 59 points
๐Ÿฅ‰ 3rd = 58 points
โ€ฆand so on, right down to 1 point for the final finisher.
The number of points available will depend on how many Danum runners take part in each race.

๐Ÿ”น Age-grading points
Rewarding performance relative to age, with the top 10 male and female age-graded performances scoring from 10 points down to 1 point.

๐Ÿ”น Club kit bonus ๐Ÿ’™๐Ÿ’›
Earn an extra 5 points for wearing your Danum Harriers vest or club top!

๐Ÿ† THE CHAMPIONSHIP FORMAT
โœ… 10 races in total
โœ… Your best 6 race scores count towards your final championship total
โœ… 10 bonus points for completing all 10 races!

The best-six format gives everyone more flexibility around work, family, holidays and other commitments, while the all-races bonus rewards those who make it to every event.

The aim is to encourage more members to get involved, support our local races, wear the blue and yellow with pride and enjoy some friendly club competition along the way! Thereโ€™s a place for everyone! ๐Ÿ™Œ

Qualification

1. The Club Champs is open to ALL First Claim Danum Harriers.
2. Races must be entered as a Danum Harrier unless youโ€™re new to the club and you booked the race prior to joining/receiving your new EA registration.
3. You are encouraged to wear a Club Vest (5 bonus points) unless running for a charity.
4. In the event of a tie for one of the top three places the runner who’s completed the most CC races in the season wins! If thereโ€™s still a tie, individual performance will be calculated by looking back at each race and comparing points between the tied individuals until we have a clear winner.
5. If an event is cancelled by the organisers within insufficient time to organise a suitable replacement the final points will be based on the previous points.
